Driffield were feeling better after last week’s big win away against a very depleted York.

Hull have been going well at home and have a bit of confidence, and had a bigger and more experienced pack.

Although the Hull forwards dominated the match, at 12 apiece at half-time the game appeared evenly-matched.  The strong wind was blowing straight across the pitch so no advantage gained or lost.  Perhaps it could go either way ?

20 minutes after half time, Hull camped in the Driffield half, and the pressure of some big ball carriers started to show.

Driffield probably tried to over-play.  They kept the ball extremely well, given the conditions, but a resilient Hull defence seemed happier without the ball and were able to capitalise on mistakes.

As far as performances go it was a massive improvement for Driffield compared with Scunthorpe and Blaydon, and disappointing not to get a point from the game, but showed some real positives moving forward.
