• 1st XV  v. Doncaster Phoenix (Home)
  • 2nd XV v. Sheffield 2 (Away)
  • 3rd XV  v. Malton & Norton 2 (Away)
  • 4th XV  v. Malton & Norton 3 (Away)
  • Ladies 1st XV – No fixture

Saturday will be a tough afternoon against Doncaster Phoenix, who are fighting to stay in the league.  You can see the full match programme here.

As usual, the team has a few changes :

  • Dan Ramsden retains his place at hooker
  • Harry Grant and Henry Hughes make up the second row
  • skipper Adam starts in his favoured position of number eight
  • Jack Sowersby starts at open side
  • Kalani Grant starts at nine
  • we welcome back James Watts at full back.

The 2nd XV travel to Sheffield which, apart from Wharfedale away, will be their toughest fixture of the season. They take a strong squad as they hope to cement their place in the top four off the league.

Both 3rd and 4th XVs travel to our friends up the road at Malton. The 3rd XV put in an excellent performance last Saturday to beat a good Hullensians side. Everyone contributed in a really good team effort. They will have to do the same again to come away with the points against a Malton second team who are just above us in a league that is becoming very congested with a number of clubs pushing for a top four finish.

Gareth’s men are also still in with a shout of a top four finish – the lads are having a great season. The skipper can be very proud off his team as we continue to field four men’s sides.

Out Colts have a week off before their rearranged Cup game away at Mosborough, next Sunday.

After putting in a good performance at Manchester last Sunday, our Ladies 1st XV have no game this weekend.
