The role is to target and build the club’s online presence and engage with players, members, the local community and the wider rugby world.  This involves creating and publishing content, and managing social media channels. Responsibilities include creating engaging content, monitoring social media activity, and improving the image of the club through our informative social media posts.

The role would suit someone who, ideally, is already involved with Driffield RUFC, and someone who understands how the club operates.  A genuine interest in sport is a benefit.  Experience with graphic design would also be advantageous.  Although this role is a volunteer’s position, expenses will be covered, and equipment made available, if required to execute the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation and Management : Working with team managers and the club’s exec committee to produce content that shall be informative and engaging whilst ensuring all playing groups receive the coverage that they deserve.  Produce a weekly content schedule which will allow all volunteers who are providing information to the Social Media Manager to make sure posts are created daily, in line with the weekly content schedule.
  • Platform Management : Managing the current platforms that the club runs, ensuring that information is posted on all platforms, and creating new platforms should the opportunity arise.
  • Community Engagement : check social media activity, respond to inquiries and comments, and foster a positive and interactive online community.
  • Collaboration : Work with all sections of the club to make sure the information issued is balanced and informative for all divisions.

Skills and Experience :

  • Social Media Proficiency : Strong understanding and experience with various social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and analytics.
  • Content Creation : Ability to create appealing and compelling content (written, visual, video) tailored to different platforms.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with supporters and other stakeholder
