Since 1995, Driffield have played Selby on seven occasions, and have only lost on one of them (25-26 in 2003). The last two wins were by large margins : 71-10 on 22 March 2003 and 77-10 on 6 January 2001.
But this is not to be taken for granted, as Selby are newly-promoted, and have had a similar start to the season to Driffield. They beat Blaydon at home, narrowly lost at Cleckheaton, and lost by seven at home to Huddersfield.
