Before the game, many were backing the unbeaten Heath to continue their winning ways, and understandably as they have only dropped a point so far. But the home support was hoping that the recent win against Alnwick, home advantage and the confidence of a side who appear to be developing really well might give the Woldsmen the edge.
But Heath were outstanding on the day, playing some fantastic rugby ; hands-down the best side seen this season and in a lot of seasons in this league. Well organised, with power and speed.
Considering how dominant Heath were in the game, Driffield will be pleased they got a 4-try bonus point. Heath were big, aggressive, fast and a good kicking game via Johnson. Great credit to the home side for their tackling and to have the spirit to get the bonus point. There won’t be many sides to score four tries against Heath this season.
